Come and show off your competition steak cooking skills!
Is listening to the sizzling of the steak you just put on the grill your favorite pastime? Are you convinced that you can pull off the perfect doneness? Then this competition is for you.
We are now in the 2023 Smoky Rabbit Cup ENDGAME!
On the 9th of September, 2023 Fehér Nyúl Brewery [White Rabbit Brewery] , Fehér Nyúl BBQ Team and the Picigurman BBQ will host Hungary’s 3rd 2023 SCA Steak Cookoff Competition, also known as the ENDGAME as part of the Füstös Nyúl Kupa [Smoky Rabbit Cup]
Set-up:
You will be allocated a 3m x 3m space to set up your tent and your grilling equipment and will have plenty of time to cook two of your best steaks ever: one to turn in for the competition, one for you to enjoy. 🙂
Turn in one steak, whole and uncut, on top of the provided foil disk, no sauce or garnish.
The target doneness is medium, steaks may be cooked on any fire or heat source, and we will provide all the ribeye steaks for the event in order to create a level playing field. No other ribeye steaks are allowed at a team’s cook site.
The steak entries will be judged by SCA Certified Judges on Appearance, Doneness, Taste, Texture, and Overall Impression in a double-blind process.
SCA Representative Attila Závodszky will be on duty to ensure the rules and fairness of the competition.

Parking will be available near the venue.
Steak full entry fee:
Simple Steak 35 000 HUF (approx 90€ / contestant)
Double Steak 60 000 HUF (approx 150€ / contestant)
Entry deadline: 4th of September, 2023.
Ancillary categories:
- Catfish (“Creative” category)
- Pork Belly (“Just the meat” category)
- Kids ‘Que
Catfish and Pork Belly are bring-your-own-meat, Kids ‘Que pork steaks are provided by us.
Catfish will be judged on Appearance, Creativity, Taste, and Execution.
Pork Belly & Kids ‘Que will be judged on Appearance, Taste, Texture, and Overall Impression.
Ancillary fees / entry / each category :
Full price: 15.000 HUF full price (approx. 35€ / category)
Entry deadline: 4th of September, 2023.
Kids ‘Que is FREE (only with another entry by adult guardian)
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT VISITOR TICKETS:
Each competitor will be provided with 3 guest wristbands, regardless of the number of categories they compete in. Any additional guests will need to purchase visitor tickets.
Entries to the event are limited, and the organizers reserve the right to refuse any entry at their discretion.
